Phonathon

VLSP’s primary fundraising event is our Phonathon, which is held every fall. At the Phonathon, volunteers telephone members of the Sacramento area legal community and other concerned citizens seeking financial support for the ongoing operations of our program. The one day event has proven to be a great opportunity for volunteers and donors to help support VLSP. Each year, KVIE Studios allows us to use their community room and telephone banks as the venue for the Phonathon, and we are grateful for KVIE’s ongoing support.

The Phonathon began in 1991, and we are proud of the fact that the funds raised have increased each year. We greatly appreciate the support we receive from the legal community and other community members who are concerned with increasing the access to justice for the low income residents of this area.

Other fundraisers and support from community groups

Other community-based organizations have been generous to VLSP in making our organization the beneficiary of their fundraising activities. Generous donations have been received by the sections and affiliates of the Sacramento County Bar Association and the Sacramento Valley Paralegal Association.
