Estate Planning
The Voluntary Legal Services Program of Northern California provides
services to clients who need help with estate planning. We can
provide assistance with preparing either a Will or a Living Trust,
which are documents that determine how one’s property will
be distributed after death.
In addition, VLSP can help clients prepare for the possibility
of becoming incapacitated. Durable Powers of Attorney for Health
Care and Property Management allow clients to designate who will
make medical and financial decisions for them in case they are
unable to make those decisions for themselves. Our volunteer attorneys
can help clients prepare these important documents.
Eligible clients who need help with preparation of their estate
planning documents should call (916) 551-2102 and seek the assignment
of a volunteer pro bono attorney.
