Description Instructor: Heather Tiffee, Assistant Program Manager for Client Services and Staff Attorney for VLSP's Debt Collection Defense and Bankruptcy Clinics. This class is designed to prepare attorneys to volunteer and advise clients at VLSP's Tuesday night Debt Collection Defense Clinic, at which the majority of our clients are seeking to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The class will teach you how to screen potential clients for bankruptcy using VLSP's detailed screening questionnaire. No prior bankruptcy law experience is required. 1.25 hours of general MCLE credit. Lunch will be provided. Enrollment fees: VLSP volunteers, $20; all others, $30.
